I am reading my third Alan Watts book, Just So. He spoke at one seminar about technology and said the following, which I highlighted and have scanned:


After I did these scans, he actually said more amazing things which, in short, predicted the Internet, the iPhone, telepresence holograms, and Zoom. I just didn’t want to bother scanning anymore, since I was enjoying reading so much.
Folks, this was his conjecture about sixty years ago. People had 13 inch black and white televisions and rotary dial telephones. For a philosopher to be this lucid about the future strikes me as jaw-dropping.
