Tesla has a well-earned reputation as a crazy stock, but lately, it’s become relatively placid. Take a look at the implied volatility, and you can see how it has withered away steadily all year long.
This is also illustrated by the IV Rank, which is dragging along near the 0-mark.
The point being that, relative to its history, the premium on TSLA options is fairly cheap.
