Well, the latest PPI and retail numbers came out, and while PPI was right on the money, retail was quite weak (right column is forecast, and the left column is actual).

In just the past twenty-four hours, this is the third instance of big news coming out and the market having absolutely zero idea what to do with itself.

For myself, my disinterest in the market remains quite strong. I have a full 35% of my account in cash, collecting dust, and the rest is sprinkled in a mere 17 positions that, on average, have four full MONTHS of life. So I’m not exactly sweating every tick.
So, just as I was busying my brain with my novel last year, now I’m focused on SlopeTalk. Because God knows the stock market is really nothing more than annoying these days, so I’d rather focus my efforts on something constructive and positive for the group as a whole.
