Insane Data

It will probably not surprise you to know that I’m a neat freak. I’m the type who wants books at 90 degree angles to the corner of the table. The one who, back in the day, made sure all his albums were in alphabetical order and perfectly aligned at the edge. That kind of guy. An OCD freak.

It thus has me in tremors this morning that the entire financial world has been bathed in absolutely garbage data from the fine folks at the NYSE…….

This crap data has found itself into my beloved Slope and, in turn, my beloved SlopeCharts.

I honestly feel like someone has walked into my living room and taken a shit on the floor. This is absolutely appalling.

So here we have this morning’s Verizon chart.

Let me be clear. This is NOT, I repeat, NOT, a problem with Slope or the data provider for which we pay so handsomely. This is DIRECTLY from the exchange. I notice on the fervent permabull site ZeroHedge they have posted an article about this colossal fuck-up.

Want to know the worst part? The data will probably be permanent, since it reflected actual trades. Thus, until the end of our natural lives, our charts will be marred with this agonizing anomaly, and even worse, people will assume that I’m paying for shit data of low quality, when in fact I pay top dollar for the best data available (not that anyone would know the difference, but I want to treat my premium members well).

Piss me off.
