Timmy’s Little World

During times like these, you find out who your friends are. I’ve only glanced at comments (I intend to read every one of them that’s transpired over the past 36 hours………) but it’s obvious that emotions are running high. Slopers are doing a yeoman’s job of promoting decency, which I appreciate.

One thing that hadn’t really dawned on me was to check the Nikkei ETF, which, of course, benefited from the unknown-trillions-of-dollars pledge from JCB. Take a look:

Umm, do you find this as shocking as I do? I mean, for the love of Jesus, the Japanese government has made a pledge that, adjusted for economy sizes, would be the equivalent of the U.S. Government committing $3 trillion per year to buy U.S. bonds and stocks – – – and they just made a lower high?!?!?! It makes you think. At least it makes me think.

I’ll share with you a cartoon from Tom Tomorrow, a favorite cartoonist of mine, from years ago. It neatly captures what it’s like writing this blog and having the rest of the world chime in (with diminishing numbers) until you get to one lone wack-a-loon.
