Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. I’ve completely reorganized the menus on Slope. The new menus are Analyze, Monitor, Read, Share, Trade, Learn, and Help. I think the arrangement is more sensible now, and I’ve left room for a new entry that I plan to add on Thursday. Announcement coming soon!
I’ve mentioned before how one of the blessings of Slope is that I’ve been able to turn a character disorder into an avocation. Specifically, I am an OCD neat freak. This expresses itself in my obsession with clean data.
Allow me to make a sweeping statement about the entire crypto industry and declare that their data is utter and unmitigated crap. I present to you just a sampling (and this is some of the CLEANEST data out there; I’ve seen far, far worse!).
Not long ago, I introduced the Discussion Forum to Slope, but I did so with all kinds of caveats about how it was temporary and just an experiment. Well, after some tinkering, I’ve decided it’s perfectly good and ready to stay right where it is. Of course, it’s pretty thin on content, so I’ll be periodically poking and prodding folks to add their own articles, charts, and remarks in there so that it builds out over time. But, hey, we started at zero comments, too, and now we’ve got over three million of them!
I am pleased to announce some important improvements to SlopeCharts, every one of which was based on the suggestion of fellow Slopers.
First of all, we’ve enhanced the ability to see earnings dates on your watch lists. In the past, you could get a number (in red) right next to a symbol to show how many calendar days were left until their earnings announcement. Now, using Preferences, you can also see a number to show how many days in the past earnings were announced.
I am exceptionally pleased to announce a feature has never had in its nearly sixteen years of history: discussion forums!
