Minority Report
On Friday morning I was looking at an interesting bull setup across the Crypto instruments that I look at every day. You can see that here if you’re interested in my Crypto channel on YouYube.
On Bitcoin (BTCUSD) a small but bullish leaning falling wedge was starting to break up, and I was saying that I was expecting that to deliver a retest of the all time high in due course. That has delivered now.

There have been many winners in 2024, both political and financial, but the crypto crowd is among the winning-est of them all. It seems that Bitcoin had a near-death experience in 2022, which of course ruined FTX and the lives of its executives, but BTC has climbed from $15,000 to nearly $100,000 with a fairly steady pace. I cannot imagine how tormented SBF must be knowing this sea-change.
The Crypto Split
If one examines the percentage change between Ethereum and Bitcoin since ETH’s inception, the contrast is stark. The upstart Ethereum massively outpaced Bitcoin, although both have enjoyed monumental gains.
