It’s very early (like, oh 4 a.m.) and I’m deliberately not even looking at the futures markets. I haven’t done so since yesterday. After The Director texted me that Abe had been shot (and, subsequently, he died) we puzzled over the fact that the Japanese Yen suddenly was soaring (????) and equities were down. I mean, it’s a sad thing, obviously, but why the death of an ex-PM would cause such gyrations in futures is beyond me. It extends to crypto, too, which yet again was repelled from daring to break out.

Once the jobs report has been out and the market has had some time to absorb the news, I’ll do a new post (and, will by that time, permit myself to look at the markets).

There’s not a doubt in my mind that the crypto world is breathing a sigh of relief, now that everything is rallying. Ethereum is well above its psychologically-important $20,000 level, and Ethereum is above its $1,000. I would like to point out, however, that until and unless they cross their horizontal resistance lines, it’s just meandering in a range, as it is inclined to do, sometimes, for weeks:

So Glad I Didn’t HODL

I stopped trading crypto last year. I made a decent five-figure profit for the year as a whole, but I decided to give equities a go again (and, mercifully, they are a real market once more). I did, however, retain my remaining positions in CryptoStream, just to see how things would have gone if I had the testicular fortitude to hang on for deal life. Let’s just say I’m glad that I’m a wimp.
