Here’s a dismal map: the percentage of people in each state that is living on social security. It’s about one-fifth of everyone, suckling on a system which was bankrupt long ago but has been kept afloat by fearful politicians. Look out for yourself; no one else will.

America nails the #1 spot!

Just in case anyone actually believes the wingnuts declaring that how everyone is fleeing California because of its admittedly high taxes. I know plenty of mega-rich people, and believe me, they could live ANYWHERE in the world, and they’re staying put.

This map is quite interesting. It shows how the self-sufficient people of Utah, many of them Mormons, fend for themselves, whereas Puerto Rico has fully embraced letting the nanny state support their lazy asses.
