If there was ever any doubt as to my love of Gilbert Gottfried, a quick look at the Slope Archives would dispose of it (although, over time, many of the pictures and pictures have vanished from the web). He died today, Tuesday, April 12th, at just 67 years old. I wanted to write a few things that I like about him.
As is always the case, The Director told me about it first. I learned about Norm MacDonald this way, and Bob Saget, and I’ve forgotten who else. Anyway, our beloved Gilbert Gottfried died, and I will do a proper post for him in the next few days. In the meanwhile, I will just say that it makes me very sad – – in just six months, we’ve lost Norm, Bob, and now Gilly. To this day, it warms my heart that, even though I never got to meet him in person, we still got to exchange some goofiness online…………
Some of you didn’t know this, but we finally had our huge SlopeFest event today, where hundreds of us gathered to meet each other, talk about charts, and have a good time. I had a professional photographer on hand, and wanted to share a couple of snapshots.

Most of you know of my affection for the late Norm MacDonald. I stumbled upon this clip over the weekend and laughed hysterically, even after listening to it multiple times. I know almost nothing about country songs, and like everyone else, The Gambler is about the only Kenny Rogers song I know. In spite of these deficiencies, it didn’t make this conversation any less hilarious. Enjoy………..seriously.
