I was born in the same year as Star Trek, which gives me a cosmic connection to Gene Roddenberry’s creation. I remember seeing the first Star Trek movie (with the breathtakingly clumsy title of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, which I guess is a notch above Star Trek: We Recorded This On Celluloid Filmstock) and being bored and incredibly disappointed. I just stumbled across this trailer, and my God, was everyone on Quaaludes in the 1970s? This is absolutely languorous!

Since I have no buying power left, and I refuse to tempt fate by pouring more cash into my account and expanding my risk, I’ve been – – what else? – – looking at charts.
As I was doing so, I thought I was looking at GME (as discussed earlier today) but it turns out I was looking at AMC, the effectively-bankrupt theatre chain which, like Gamestop, has become a meme stock. Below is the lifetime comparison of these two. Remarkable, isn’t it? They’re like twins!

Believe the Science
I think I might be repeating myself, but hey, with over 31,000 posts (over 1,000 times the number of flavors at Baskin-Robbins), I am entitled to do so. What I’m referring to is this 130 year old school text from my bookshelf, which was a highly-esteemed science guide for the young men and women of Britain in the late 19th century. You will note that it was the recipient of the highest honor at the Chicago Exhibition and Educational Congress of 1893.
