I’m sometimes convinced I’m the only honest person left on the planet (although I realize there are some Slopers, particularly premium members, who can make the same claim). In recent years, we’ve been flooded with:

  • Covid loan scams;
  • YouTube stock huckster scams (“stonks only go up”);
  • Get-rich-quick come-on artists all over the web;
  • And the granddaddy of them all, hundreds of billions stolen during the ridiculous CARES multi-trillion dollar aid package a few years ago, such as PPP schemes

Basically, the flood of easy money from trash like Janet Yellen has created an entire generation of criminals, or at least people imbued with a get-rich-quick mindset. The population has become shallow, degenerate, and shamelessly venal.
