I've been having a really good time here at the show in Las Vegas. I'll be doing a couple of different speaking engagements tomorrow (Tuesday); one with Tom Sosnoff, and one by myself about ProphetCharts. Many Slope readers have recognized me and said hello, and it's great to meet some of you in person.

Instead of my usual examination of charts, I spent time on my page about watch lists. This topic may seem bone dry, but if you use ProphetCharts at all, I encourage you to read it. You may benefit from some of the tips here.

We've made some recent improvements to Prophet Patterns. I just did a search and saw a couple of interesting bearish ideas.

I believe that the recent strength in the dollar is going to weaken briefly. Looking at the EUR/USD chart below, I would say this is probably going to retrace to to about the 1.54 level.

What this would mean for other markets (again, short term, measured in days) would be

• A boost in oil prices
• A boost in gold
• An impetus for stocks to soften up
