The only "metals" I am long right now are two pretty large positions in US Steel (symbol X) and Titanium Metals (symbol TIE), both of which I bought yesterday. As for precious metals, as I said yesterday, I'm staying away from them. I find the action in the futures market for gold interesting, since it seems we're getting pretty close to a powerful resistance line:
