Interest Rates Peaking?
It seems to me that interest rates are probably reaching a short-term high (and, therefore, resulting in forthcoming bond strength). Here are rates for ten-year notes (which, strangely, come across the data feed at time times their value; 22.00 is really 2.2, for instance)

SPX made the targets I gave on Friday morning and on the SPX daily chart the highest target was a test from below of the daily middle bollinger band. That is a natural resistance level and the question this morning is whether equities go higher. SPX daily chart:
Don’t Know Much about History
My blogger’s guilt has gotten the best of me, so I’m doing a quick comment-cleaner post.
I am hard at work on my newest book for John Wiley & Sons, tentatively called History and Hysteria. It’s a history book about the financial markets, and it’s by far the hardest book I’ve ever written. I’m also having great fun writing it, on the whole. (more…)
