Hi there! It’s Tim inserting himself into this post. I figured I’d beef it up with just one other thought, wholly unrelated to the above.
I just glanced at the entire history of the USD/JPY, and all I can say to myself is “Duh.” It should be no surprise to see how rapidly the USD/JPY has retreated (in other words, how fast the yen has strengthened) based on the very long-term chart.

This is going to be fascinating to watch, because it seems we’ve gone through a huge change recently; the EUR/USD used to be almost perfectly correlated to the S&P 500. These days, hardly anyone should give a flying crap about the Euro (me included), because it really doesn’t seem to have anything to do with stocks anymore. The yen, on the other hand? Absolutely critical!
I’m off……….I’ll see you Thursday morning.
