I’m not going to pretend to be interested in all this “Ferguson” stuff that the media is obsessed with. Part of me thinks the media is hoping for something along the scale of a Watts Race Riot, just to fill up an otherwise boring news cycle. The only Ferguson which has ever interested me is this one:
The other big “black” story which does, in contrast, have my interest, is Cosby and his countless women accusers. It makes me a bit sad, since Cosby was a part of my misspent youth in the 1970s. (I could do an awfully good Fat Albert imitation). As an aside, I will note some puzzlement over the repeated claims from these women that Cosby offered them some pills, they ate them, and then woke up hours later, having been accosted. I’m not sure about you, but if someone hands me some random pills to take – even a celebrity – I’m not going to just wolf them down.
