I’m still getting my sea legs back, being in front of my multiple computers, big monitors, and – – proof of God in itself – – super-high speed connection. Here are three short-selling ideas that I just executed; the ticker symbols and stop-loss prices I am using are in the caption.

Gold and precious metals miners have been doing great, but one item in particular which looks prime to launch is junior gold miners, shown below with symbol GDXJ.

OK, I am back where I belong! And since the morning action is so godawful boring, you’ll have to permit me one more vacation post, just for fun. Here is a brief video I made of my visit to the Green Elephant Sanctuary during my last day in Thailand. I got in there with the elephants – – in the water, in the mud, rubbing them down with mud – – and got to spend time with this marvelous, gentle creatures, who are blessed to live in this safe place where they are treated with kindness and tenderness.
I cannot help but express my delight at having real infrastructure again. I spent the entirety of Monday flying back home, and while I am accustomed to Internet connectivity that is similar to a firehose, I have to satisfy my data needs with a tiny plastic straw that had a kink in it. I wound up sleeping through most of the trading day, as there was little to be done.
I did an ETF roundup over the weekend for our gold and diamond members, and in it I highlighted crude oil’s vulnerability to a downturn, based principally on its approach of an important price gap. I was pleased to see that panned out nicely, with crude withering away persistently.
