The /RTY small caps futures shows exactly why I didn’t bother with a “here’s what the jobs report did to the market” post. Because the pre-market movement is meaningless. At first it looked like the small caps were going to have an explosive day. The millisecond the market opened, it went into a free fall. No real reason for doing so. There should be NO logical reason for this. But it happens.

Tech stocks, on the other hand, could not care less. Just like early in the year 2000, they are in a world entirely of their own.
