This afternoon has, in market cap terms, more earnings than any other point of the whole year. The two monsters, AMZN and AAPL, will be closely watched, but as we’ve seen with Shopify, the immediate reaction can be negative, only to be fully reversed in the day session.

Looking closer, there’s not a single bearish thing about this chart. It’s just really expensive and most likely to keep climbing.

I’d say AMZN has more chance of an exciting after-hour session than AAPL, provided it stays beneath that price gap anchored to the horizontal line I’ve drawn below.
