Back in October we began to plan the prospect of a relief rally that would be fueled by over-bearish sentiment (contrary bullish), ‘Fed hawk’ relief as we anticipated inflation signals to ease, and a post (mid-term) election seasonal pattern that is bullish for stocks. Considering how many articles ZeroHedge ran about how California and the entire west were going to dry up and blow away like dust, I should have known massive Louisiana-style rains would be coming our way. No one is worried about a drought anymore. It’s flooding that’s on their minds. It all reminds me of this genius routine from Slope’s patron saint, the late genius George Carlin.
