I don’t think any of us have ever lived through deflation, but recent Tesla purchasers have. I’m not referring to TSLA, but the car itself. Imagine having shelled out $120,990 for this vehicle and, after the damned thing has already been battered with depreciation, finding out that a person could buy a completely new vehicle for less than your used car is worth.
It is early morning, with the fog-shrouded sky concealing the puny amount of sunlight on the horizon. I am walking my two large dogs on the wild lawn of Palo Alto’s main post office, constructed during the Great Depression and looking every bit worse for the wear. The dogs are both gnawing on long strands of grass, having found the very specific variety of plant that they seem to favor, and I gaze off into the parking lot on the other side of Hamilton Avenue.
If you’ve EVER had a meal with a vegan, you will join me in celebrating the demise of this brief but horribly annoying fad. There has never been a more self-congratulatory group of humans on the planet.
