I’m Finally Ahead!

My beloved premium users have been following the saga of a little contest I’m having between myself and my late father. We Knight children were raised to be competitive, so even though my dad is on the astral plane, I’m still going head-to-head with him.

Anyway, here is his portfolio, anchored to a start date of January 4th, 2024. As of tonight, he is ahead 58% on an annualized basis, with the big winner being AMD, up 51.6%. For the sake of privacy, I have hidden the quantity and dollar figures.

The Last One

As I mentioned at the start of my True Gold post on Sunday, I’ve had my fill of the whole bearish thing. My avatar is just my face, not a bear. My x.com profile doesn’t even mention or hint at anything bearish. I’m just……….Tim Knight. Nothing more.

Having said that, I have ONE and ONLY one bearish position left, and I’m going to stick with it until the bitter end: EFA. Looking at it over the past four months, it’s nothing special.

Below is an exercise that considers real economic/macro/market indicators and one writer’s view of what is in play this election year. I avoid becoming enmeshed in politics like I avoid the plague. But this is probably the most important, not to mention bizarre, scary and angry election year ever. Now think about the robo-expansion of debt (what’s a few more $Trillion for the cause, eh?) at this crucial time. There is not a partisan bone in my body because I don’t believe in the system itself, let alone either of the modern versions of the parties dominating that system.
