Although this was coming for months, I had to keep my mouth shut into it was official. The news finally came out over the holiday weekend (of all things) – – $6 billion of new cash into x.ai:
The funny thing is that the biggest immediate beneficiary of this news is NVDA, since a chunk of that $6 billion is bound to go to the company for their chips.
This is probably a bit irksome to Elon, who I am sure would rather not hand over all this cash to an outside outfit, but at this point, NVDA has a monopoly on all-things-AI (for semiconductors, at least). Timing is everything!
