Lifetime High then Bearish Engulfing
Any chart I post today is going to be outdated, because the market is moving so fast – – but as of this composition, the semiconductor index ETF (symbol SMH) opened at its highest point in history and then proceeded to fail its bullish breaking and create a gargantuan Bearish Engulfing Pattern. Maybe this is finally the end of this nonsense.

Hard Reversal
Yesterday I did a post suggesting going bearish on Costco (COST) even though, as I made clear, I didn’t have the balls. Congratulations to any of you who do, and therefore, did.

United in Song
Bubba the Big-Balled Bull had me bent over my bunk in this morning’s prison cell, but one thing helped make ameliorate the agony: United Airlines (UAL), my biggest short position. This is playing out absolutely beautifully, thanks to weak earnings from Delta. United reports next week, by the way.

Hockey Sticks
The CPI numbers are out and, in spite of everything your eyes tell you, prices are FALLING. This gives the all-clear for the Fed to make the rate cut we’ve been hearing about since the beginning of time, since these government-created numbers came in ice-cold.
