I’d like to tip my hat to the land of the rising sun for single-handedly throwing a rotten piece of sushi into the market. As the Yen continues to soar in value (against the wishes of Japan’s Powers That Be), our own market is falling to pieces. It was up double-digits on the ES this morning. It’s approaching the same value with a negative sign in front of it right now.
Oh, and in case you didn’t know, the song below is actually about spanking your monkey. At the time, I thought it was an homage to Japan’s increasing influence on our culture. That’s shows you where my mind was at as a teenager.
