I’ve been doing Slope since 2005, which is approximately 500 years ago. In that time, I’d like to think I have acquired, through brutal experience, a certain amount of humility with respect to the markets. For instance, on the heels of today – – by FAR my best day in years – – what do I feel? Well, pretty much nothing. I’m focused on my first attempt at roasting a duck for my family (which is going well). That’s pretty much where my head SHOULD be at.
There was a time, not that many years ago, that I was more along the lines of this chap, who is sort of a supercharged version of me (more bearish, more followers). Let me give you a little taste of some very recent posts, just from the past few hours.
I think 2025 is going to be amazing. I also think I’m going to be very tempted to slip into an attitude like what you’ve just read. Don’t let me get away with it. You deserve better, and I need to be saved from myself!
