Here’s an amusing tale from right here in the San Francisco Bay Area, the worldwide center of technology. Observe this breathless press release from a firm that raked in $60 million in funding:
It was led by a husband/wife team since its founding. A photo below shows them, and I’m sorry there’s a huge watermark on it, but there’s this dude Drew Altizer whose livelihood is scurrying around to parties of rich people, taking pictures, and selling them back in order to appease their ceaseless vanity. Anyhoo, the man in the center, and the woman to his right with the too-shiny skin, are the couple in question.
Things were going dandy until last summer:
It turns out these two were embezzling millions from their organization. Here is the wife heading into a bank to submit some fraudulent paperwork. Oh, nice crucifix, by the way, sweetcakes.
You probably know where this all wound up, just yesterday:
The longer I live, the more I’m convinced that I’m the only honest person left in this valley. What a sucker, huh? Why does EVERYONE around here, in the end, turn out to be a thief?
Anyway, glad to see these two are getting their heads nailed to a tree. What a couple of scumbags.
