A few days ago, I did a premium post about five precious metals miners that I liked as long positions. They’re all up since then, and I think their prospects are greater than ever. Go, gold, go!

Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. Click on any category icon below to see posts tagged with that particular subject, or click on a word in the category cloud on the right side of the screen for more specific choices.

It’s nice to see a trade work out. It’s nicer to know that paying subscribers were the ones who got it. And it’s nicest still when it works out almost immediately.
Just yesterday, I did this premium post in which I pointed out the nearly perfect gap-seal for AMD. I went on to say, “I am long January $175 puts. It also helps that the P/E ratio on this sucker is literally measured in the hundreds. This is preposterously overvalued.” Even though semiconductors were fairly strong all day, AMD was a notable exception.

In May of 2023, I did a snarky post about Spirit Airlines (SAVE), decrying their horrible service and even scarier price chart. The arrow marks the approximate day of the post, and if you search for “Spirit Airlines” on the Slope home page, you’ll find about five different equally sneering posts about the organization.

I know, I know. I used that title before, but it’s so good, I’m going to use it again. Anyway, back on July 15th, I suggested Humana (HUM) as a short, since it had filled its gap so nicely.

I’d say it worked out, eh?
