You are probably acquainted with this phrase:
“On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.”
Well, you may have trouble believing this, but the same holds true for my predictions. Some of them (well, most of them) take longer to play out than I hoped, but, sooner or later, they DO transpire.
I offer this morning as Exhibit A in that respect this very fresh headline:
Below are three stocks that have these things in common: (a) I identified them all as bearish candidates when they were vastly more expensive (b) I bought puts on them (c) I sold the puts not long afterward, probably at a loss (d) I missed out on multi-hundred-percent gains on CONSERVATIVE (many months out, in the money) put options. What a dope!
Back on February 28th, I did a premium post, my first in a series of posts about shorting Dollar Tree (DLTR) and Dollar General (DG). Let’s just say that the timing was almost perfect, since the stocks would lift for just a few more days by a little bit before going into their own vicious, private bear markets. This morning, they’re both getting torched.
Well, this was one of my greatest calls ever (or greatest puts, I suppose). If you’re curious if I ever mentioned SMCI as a short sale candidate, you could drench yourself in the posts I wrote about it. It is collapsing under the weight of fraud accusations (which is the typical bull modus operandi; equity bulls are innately criminal). I have never shut up about it.
Out there somewhere – – anywhere – – I hope someone listened to me months ago when I pointed out ALB as a great short setup. I didn’t listen to myself, but I rarely see something so consistently hammer down with so few pauses (as opposed to having to flop back and forth in this insane market like we usually do).
