In a sea of green, a couple of recent short ideas actually are managing to buck the tide. I’m not sure what it is about metals that is so unappealing these days, but Alcoa and Freeport and, indeed, slip-sliding away.

In yesterday’s post, I did a very tiny victory lap based on the pop in GDX and GDXJ, but as I mentioned both in the post and on yesterday’s tastylive show, I didn’t think it would last. Both opened strong this morning, but bang, that was it.

That’s some good chartin’ there…….although personally I’d exit if we got to either of those gaps.
