They tried……….God knows they tried, but they lost. We got our sub-8,000 close. Two days in a row. First time in over five years! OK, that's all I have time for (seriously!) but I'll do a post tonight.
Slope of Hope Blog Posts
Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. Click on any category icon below to see posts tagged with that particular subject, or click on a word in the category cloud on the right side of the screen for more specific choices.
Late Update
I'm tied up for the rest of the day. I'll do a quick market update this evening. If the PTB push this above 8,000, I'm going wig out. Anyway……good luck.
Sub-8000
Unless something really surprising happens (examples: Dennis Kneale saying something intelligent; Abby Joseph Cohen making a profitable trading recommendation; etc.) it looks like we're going to………for the first time since 2003!……….close below 8,000 on the Dow for two days in a row. This is getting interesting.

Looking Back
Compared to yesterday, things are stone-cold quiet, so I thought I'd share a Slope tip with you.
On the right column, scroll down and you'll see a list of symbols that have been referenced in this blog. It shows the top 10, and you can click on the All link to see the long, long list of various symbols referenced. You can click on any given symbol to see all the prior posts where there are charts of that symbol.
I used this feature this morning to check out my recent TBT commentary. As a reminder, you can click the "Present" tab on older charts to see what has happened to the security since it was originally posted. In the example below, TBT moved lower subsequent to the posting.
You can learn a bit more about tags on Slope here.
