Slope of Hope Blog Posts
Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. Click on any category icon below to see posts tagged with that particular subject, or click on a word in the category cloud on the right side of the screen for more specific choices.
Cramer Makes the Grade
From Time Magazine this week………
It says……
Jim Cramer's name will go down in financial history, though not for the reasons he had hoped. Wall Street's loudest and most obnoxious cheerleader during the boom is now left holding tattered pom-poms while his stock picks tank all around him. Cramer's once-popular blog has now, incredibly, become a paid site available only to RealMoney suckers, er, subscribers.
Island Time
I'm a bit hamstrung by (a) the lack of my beloved mombo 30 inch monitor streaming the /ES (b) the fact I'm supposedly on vacation, so posts this week are going to be somewhat less frequent. I'm putting this up just to give comments a fresh start. I continue to focus on tightening stops, having closed out just a small handful of very profitable positions (like ARE).
SRS Ultrashort Real Estate
I am forgoing skiing in order to tighten up stops. Just to show how dramatic some of these moves are, I just tightened my SRS stop from 53.01 to 74.10.
Things are starting to get interesting in the market again. This is a really good day so far, and I've bagged a lot of /ES profits already.
Retracement Level Tagged
The predicted retracement level of 786.75 was almost perfectly tagged, and I am flat the /ES (bolder souls would actually take the counsel of RetracementLevels.com and have gone long that level). I simply am not comfortable taking a big long position in an environment like this.
By the way, I hear there is a free trial this week at RetracementLevels you can get here. I am, as is my habit, extracting a 0.00% royalty on all sales and residuals.
