I’m expecting to see a short term high soon, and that might turn out to be a very significant high that will last months. Generally before a significant high we would see equities test the water, as it were, with a first decline before the main high. I suspect strongly that is what we are seeing at the moment, so I’m expecting this move to have limited further downside and to be followed by (probably marginal) new SPX highs in the near future. Next Shorting Opportunity for Tesla
After I boldly posted my Tesla Top screed, which flew in the face of every analyst on the planet, Tesla has been falling to pieces. Tesla, as I predicted, has become a short-selling paradise. This morning, however, in a classic example of the “news” being priced in before it was even out, the Feds announced they were opening a probe into all those inconvenient fires that Tesla sedans keep having. The Real Unemployment
I just learned about a site called Shadowstats which shows a variety of data based on reality, instead of constant government adjustment. They use a consistent calculation of unemployment that was in place in the early 1980s, and based on that, let’s just say Obama hasn’t driven unemployment down to 7%, or whatever lie he’s saying. It’s triple that amount. (more…)
