Well, since everyone under the sun is talking about Apple, I’ll talk about something that has nothing to do with stocks, charts, finance, or even the Federal Reserve. What caught my eye tonight was this video, which has, in a few days, gone multi-million-view viral:
I’m not going to summarize the video, because I want you to watch it. (To be clear, the father shown above is the father of the bullied girl, not the bad guy I eviscerate below). The idiot father of the two idiot kids, Deron Puro, states at around the four minute mark of the video: “Hey, Brad! You’re a fag! Grow up. {inaudible} You’re a loser.”
You’re. A. Fag. Yep. That’s precisely the kind of genius assessment I heard around the 7th and 8th grades from the bullies in my school. The difference, though, is that the person doing the name-calling isn’t a thirteen year old shithead. He’s a forty-something-year-old shithead who has unleashed his defective DNA on the world by spawning the aforementioned twins. (I think it’s especially ironic that Deron Puro advises the father featured in the video above to “grow up.”)
Happily, though, the Internet and social media are double-edged swords, and after the aggrieved father put his video on YouTube, the decent people of the world went to work and quickly honed in on Puro’s home address, phone number, and place of employment. They set up a fake Facebook page for him, as well as a fake Twitter account, just to make sure Dumb Deron got as much exposure as possible.
It didn’t take long for Puro’s boorish behavior to catch up with him……..
In fact, funny enough, searching for him as become so popular that the Google search engine automatically reveals his dumb-ass face as well as the name of his, ummm, former employer whenever you do a search for Deron Puro. Google is smart that way.
Of course, the family has issued a (highly ungrammatical) apology (“In regards to……”) and placed the blame square on the shoulders of the same beast that every screw-up blames: booze. Yep, Dad wasn’t himself, and he’s in detox now.
I doubt it. He’s probably just an asshole.
Since his address is public knowledge now, I was curious about his home. Appropriately enough, whereas most residents are clustered together in what appears to be a tightly-knit community, his family is completely isolated, as shown below. Hello, metaphor!
My view is that the vast majority of people are decent, and we decent folk like to see the vile behavior of bullies blow up in their faces. It doesn’t happen very often, but when it does, we each enjoy the taste of divine justice, like a drop of goodness on the tips of our tongues.
