Inaudible Volume

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to the end of the week. I’m looking forward to a long weekend, since it’s bound to be more riveting than this volumeless, watching-paint-dry, levitates-each-night market we are in. At least crude oil is continue to soften up………

People seem really worked up about the fact that Yellen is going to be given a medal (!) today at Harvard for all her marvelous contributions to humanity. (Sadly, this is not a eulogy being offered at a memorial service; she will, in fact, be alive to accept the honor). Investors are making a big deal that, during the ceremony, the old bat is actually going to talk. It’s scheduled for 1:15 EST, so be sure to hang on to every word. It’s bound to be fascinating, and, let’s face it – – who is getting the medal today – – you or her?

I’ll close with something completely random: the opening to a television show in the 1980s which looks like one of the most godawful things ever made. Still, I can’t help but be fascinated by the fact that this was green-lit as a television series, and people actually made the effort to watch this tripe. Breathtaking.
