
On an utterly unrelated note, I am composing a piece which references this post I did seven years ago. If I may say, it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written, and looking at the comments is a kick too. I hadn’t read it in years.

Here are a couple of equity charts in the airline sector which seem very vulnerable to another downturn:

The monthly jobs report came out this morning, and although the unemployment rate dipped a little, and almost a quarter million jobs were added, the pace of job growth is quite clearly diminishing with every passing month. The jobs added was about one-third what was hoped would be the case.

We’ve got another very helpful integration to announce with respect to Slope’s very popular Virtual Trading feature: now you can have a watch list in SlopeCharts which automatically retains all of the symbols for all of your open positions.
Using it is a snap and only takes a moment: just go to the Preferences in SlopeCharts, go to the Watch Lists tab, and check the checkbox labeled as Show Positions Watchlist:
