I offer below incontrovertible evidence that I have arrived in North Carolina.

As for my flight out, “First Class” doesn’t mean much on a red eye when the seats tilt back 9 degrees instead of just 5 degrees.
Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. Click on any category icon below to see posts tagged with that particular subject, or click on a word in the category cloud on the right side of the screen for more specific choices.

We wish Tim house-hunting success in North Carolina. Here’s hoping he finds what he’s looking for. NC is a beautiful state and I bet his family will enjoy time spent there. Where I live now is the forever home, but NC [and TN] used to be on my move-to list. Here are a few slippery slope charts for your perusal. See what you think; hopefully, you’ll find some trade ideas.
Note that on all charts, the dotted green and red horizontals are the top and bottom of the Ichimoku Cloud; the Cloud changes with the wind.
In no particular order, let’s look first at TUP. I think Tim has been watching and shorting this for a long time. TUP topped in 2013. Earnings are May 4. (Note from Tim: yep! I’ve got puts!)
(more…)This is an extremely interesting graphic, but it’s about three miles tall by an inch wide, so I’ll just provide this link so you can look at it.

I did what I consider a pretty good show on tastytrade today, so I thought I’d share it here on Slope. I cannot embed it, so here is a link so you can watch it in a new browser tab.

I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is that I am going to be traveling for an entire week. Not just traveling, but very occupied while I’m traveling. Thus, my fabled frantic pace of generating content for you people will be only three times as much as my competition as opposed to ten times. So be strong while I struggle to create posts (and give warm love to outside contributors, whom I’ve asked to step up their game in the week forthcoming).
The good news is that, as legend has it, the market always gets killed when I’m traveling via plane. I’m heading to Charlotte on a red-eye flight tonight. Consider yourself put on-notice about my personal plans, in spite of having no obligation to disclose it. It’s almost like material non-public knowledge.
