It isn’t time to hoist any victory flags yet — not even close – – but it’s nice to see some fissures appearing in the self-delusional, carnival-barker, ethics-free hawking of stocks from the usual suspects. Here we see a failed bullish breakout on the S&P 500 futures:

We also see that crude oil is entering a new zone of failure.

As I’m typing this, every single quote on the screen is red, except for gold, which is really cool. I own a lot of physical gold, but I don’t have any trading position. Suffice it to say I’m always a fan of gold’s strength, since I perceive it as a giant shiny middle finger to the central bankers.

I’m having a decent day, but not great. I guess I’m making up for the fact that I had a really profitable day yesterday even though the /ES and /NQ projectile-vomited higher all day long.
