I think natural gas is going to be “the new IYR” for me, as the one that got away. This long-term cycle was absolutely glorious, and even with energy ripping higher today, natural gas is getting beaten to smithereens. I hope some readers here took advantage of my insight, because I sure never do!
One of the great ironies of this life is that everyone considers themselves a “contrarian.” And why wouldn’t they? The OPEC meeting is this Wednesday, and it’s already been loudly telegraphed that they’re going to dial back on production. This has oil futures vaulting higher this morning by 5%.
