Well, here is EXACTLY the kind of screw-up I’ve only executed a few billion times in my trading life. Yesterday morning, following LULU’s gigantic surge, I went long puts on the stock. By day’s end, the puts were up about 5%, and I intended to hang on to them for at least a few weeks. This morning, however, during the insane run-up in stock prices, I panicked and dumped them at a loss. I did so at the EXACT millisecond they peaked. I’m disgusted with myself.

The bug-eyed ascent in equities just over the past couple of weeks has been jaw-dropping, and is instantly recognizable by way of the heavily-traded ETF symbol EFA, which represents worldwide equities sans North America:
As discouraging (and discouraged) as the prior post may have seemed, allow me to offer up – gasp – a short idea on a very heavily traded stock: Adobe. This stock had repeated gap action at the price of 388.88 (the red dashed line), and I have just acquired June $400 puts on this beast.
