In the early morning hours of April 4, 2023, not even ten full days ago, wealthy tech executive Bob Lee was stabbed to death in San Francisco. About 17 seconds later, the entire world was sure of one truth: some black homeless dude did it. No doubt about it at all. Nope. And they let the world know.
As we found out today, everything those SF-bashers (and billionaire tech bros like David Sacks and Jason Calacanis) were saying was absolutely wrong. The guy who killed him wasn’t black. He wasn’t homeless. In point of fact, he was someone the late Bob Lee knew very well. He was an entrepreneur here in the Bay Area. And he’s in jail awaiting trial for murder now, thanks to his arrest this very morning.
I confess that I assumed Bob Lee was possibly killed by some kind of vagrant, because the list of people hanging out at 2:30 in the morning on a weekday isn’t very long. Yet, armed with absolutely zero facts, I didn’t know for sure (obviously) and I certainly didn’t cite that surely a person of a given race knifed this guy to death. I didn’t have to. It seems most of the rest of the country was happy to take on the task.
Of course, that wasn’t the only goofy “fact” the intelligentsia of the Internet declared. One oft-cited theory was the notion that the Federal Reserve killed him, because they had just launched a competing app. Jesus H. Christ, people are fucking stupid. Here, let me show you…………
Yep. The FedNow system had to be protected at any cost, so you might as well rub out one of the employees at a small San Francisco startup. You seriously can’t make this stuff up, it’s so retarded.
Because if you find something “suspicious” it just has to be true.
Anyway, the unhinged conspiracy theory nut-jobs weren’t the main commentators. I remember, in real time, how swiftly the Blame the Victim crowd came out, and in this instance, it was because Bob Lee didn’t assume every black person in the country was a murderer.
What really got them going was this tweet from two years ago that Bob Lee wrote. Take a look at the replies……….

I mean, look, I live only 30 miles from San Francisco, and I make a point of going there only once, maybe twice, in any given year. I don’t like cities in the first place (ANY city), mainly because I prefer empty air to humans.
So I get why people are pointing fingers at the mayor for the city’s troubles, but still, the reaction to the Bob Lee killing was appalling, since, in a nutshell, a big chunk of the world was saying, “Well, pal, you saw a darkie coming at you, and you didn’t cross the street for your own safety, so you deserve what you got. Sorry/Not Sorry.”
Now that the facts are out, every one of these clowns looks like an unlubricated dildo, but they’re not about to apologize or, God forbid, self-reflect.
On the contrary, they’ll just pivot. This bozo below was fully on the race train. When it turned out the killer wasn’t black, well, he just changed his tune. It isn’t blacks that are the problem, don’t ya know. It’s immigrants. All of them. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Immigrants.

I’ll close by simply saying congratulations to the authorities who conducted this investigation and threw the real killer behind bars. They found their man, and I honestly wasn’t sure they ever would, let alone so swiftly.
