I’m a neat freak. Felix Unger. OCD. Anal-retentive. A order nut. Call it what you will.
I like things to be clean, organized, and in their place. This is woven into Slope’s DNA, with one glaring exception: our intraday charts have always been littered with the kinds of data errors that have been part and parcel of the financial data industry since time began. It’s just plain gross, and always has been, and it renders the charts useless.

Financial data is dirty. And by that I don’t mean it’s half wrong. Even if it is 99.5% clean, that’s not good enough, because just a few crap data points can wreck a chart’s scaling and, thus, its utility. Years ago, I remedied this by having daily data subjected to our filtering mechanism. You can turn this on and off within the Preferences dialog box of SlopeCharts.

This feature worked great for daily data, but it didn’t fix intraday at all – – until TODAY! I am delighted to let you know that the exact same symbols above look like THIS now:

And now I can be at peace.
