We are awfully close to that price gap on the Hang Seng Index. Will this be the end of the China sell-off?

We are awfully close to that price gap on the Hang Seng Index. Will this be the end of the China sell-off?

As we move into the part of the earnings season which is actually interesting, the big feature tonight is Netflix (NFLX). Here is the recent history, in which two prior tops didn’t really amount to anything, so I’m not so sure the third one will either. If we do fall, major support doesn’t exist until that supporting trendline defining the lower boundary of the price channel.

Fellow Sloper DRD was kind enough to share the video below, which is an interview with Tom Sosnoff. DRD bounced this may way since Tom has his Tim story at about the 38:00 mark, during which he decries charts (as he always does!) but is kind about it nonetheless. We’ve had quite a quarter century together.
My best position right now, with a triple-digit percentage return from just a few days ago, is PDD, which I suggested shorting in the face of China-mania. The arrow marks the post. I am maintaining the position until we reach the gap.

My sassy declaration in that post that “This unhinged, ridiculous, idiotic Chinese rally insanity IS going to end” seems to have worked out nicely. My only stupidity was closing my JD and YUMC positions too early. Profitably, yes, but the bigger profits were yet to come.
Another day, another lifetime high. As we head into a phalanx of economic and political storms in the months ahead, the market continues to shrug its shoulders and roar higher, unencumbered by the least bit of fear. The Daily Swoosh is still with us, like a morning newspaper reliably delivered to the driveway.
