AMD Success
It’s nice to see a trade work out. It’s nicer to know that paying subscribers were the ones who got it. And it’s nicest still when it works out almost immediately.
Just yesterday, I did this premium post in which I pointed out the nearly perfect gap-seal for AMD. I went on to say, “I am long January $175 puts. It also helps that the P/E ratio on this sucker is literally measured in the hundreds. This is preposterously overvalued.” Even though semiconductors were fairly strong all day, AMD was a notable exception.

In my last two posts I’ve been talking about the possible short term topping setup here on equity indices in the context of the historically reliable daily sell signals fixed but not yet made target still on SPX and Dow.
In the first of those posts I was talking about the possible H&S patterns that might form, noting that if they failed to complete and break down then the prior highs would likely retest, giving a second shot at a high setups with double tops.
In my last post I was looking at the decent quality H&S patterns that had then formed on SPX, NDX and Dow, noting that to break down below the pattern necklines, all three would need to break back below their daily middle bands. If that didn’t happen I was saying in the premarket video that day that we would likely see high retests on at least SPX and NDX.

As you all know, Powell made quite a scene with his 50 bps cut last month although, oddly, rates have been going UP lately, I suppose because the fact that the U.S. will be healthy, prosperous, and able to pay back its debts with interest isn’t exactly something you can put in the Bible. Ultimately, though, it does look like rates are ready to roll over if the rounded top can be completed. Here is the T-Bond:
