Introducing Symbol Stripper!

By -

I’ve got some exciting news. Slope has its own stripper!

No, no, no. What are you thinking? I’m talking about something which, yes, even on freakin’ VACATION I’ve created and introduced to the site.

To get to this new page, choose this menu:

The idea behind the page is that you will sometimes encounter blog posts or articles that have symbols embedded within them, and it’s a pain in the neck to hunt them down one and one and manually type them. For example, I get a newsletter called The Bear Cave, and just a little chunk of it looks like this:

So what I could do with this new page is just copy all the text that I wanted and paste it into the entry area.

I would then click the Extract Symbols button, and, voila, it has teased out the symbols, put them in alphabetical order, and provided me a means to copy them to my clipboard or download them into a .TXT file so I could, for example, import them into SlopeCharts.

For example, when I pasted a chunk of the latest Bear Cave, it gave me eighteen symbols, and I imported them into SlopeCharts like so:

Allowing me to see new prospective ideas, such as this honey (AIN):

As you can see, this is a real time-saver, and I’ve never seen anything like this anywhere else on the web.

Yet another feature amongst a hundred others here on the Slope of Hope.
