The human predilection for big round numbers is unceasing. On Friday, when the Dow crossed 50,000 (see all those big round numbers??) for the first time ever, the cult distributed this:
Which was followed shortly thereafter by this pledge of an even bigger, rounder number by a man whose word is his bond.
So, the man has tethered his reputation to the value of the stock market.
