It’s nice not to care. That’s the first thing I’ll say.
I’ll explain in a moment but take a look at AMD after hours. It came out with earnings and immediately plunged. For some reason, based on the same data, it decided to do a hard U-Turn and went roaring higher. Even as I typed these words, it zipped higher still. You can imagine the emotions pulsing through AMD traders right now, particularly when the stock went from collapsing to exploding to lifetime highs in a matter of minutes.

The reason I don’t care is that, earlier today, I decided to stop the financial masochism with SMH. I’ve had it up to the proverbial “here” with the semiconductor sector. It is stark raving mad, and clearly it isn’t even close to stopping. The chart below is the daily representation of AMD, and it most assuredly does not include the mayhem happening at this very moment.

I have no positions in any way, shape, or form that has anything to do with AMD, semiconductors, or hyperscalers. I’ll just say it again: it’s nice not to care!
