I don’t talk a lot about long ideas here on Slope, but the semiconductors fund caught my eye:
It’s not that I think semiconductors per se are a good long, but it compelled me to take another look at Intel, which I’ve long considered one of the very best “buy it and forgot it” securities on the planet (along with GOOGL). As you can see, the saucer pattern for Intel is gargantuan, clean, and very near lifetime highs.
If for some reason I had to put money into something and was disallowed from selling it for twenty years, Intel would be my choice.
