I miss my bear market more than words can express. Almost the entire first half of 2022 was a glorious romp through the ursine fields of paradise. Ever since June 16th, however, and particularly since October 13th, it’s been a glorious romp through acres of fresh manure. Even just recently, for no discernable reason, the market has been roaring higher.
The reason I find the likes of TSLA so intriguing is that it simply isn’t participating. The above and below charts are for the exact same time period, both in minute bar increments. Tesla is raising a giant middle finger toward the bulls.
I remain exceptionally light, and exceptionally dispirited, with about 30% of my portfolio in cash and the rest in a meager assortment of 16 positions. I’m finding this market to be annoying beyond all measure. It’s truly hard to stay interested, even though that’s probably the last thing I should type out loud.
